Their first name, girl or boy, and one of four classic adventures. Their name appears in the real story text straight away — before you pay anything.

A clear picture of their face is enough. We use it to draw them, and nothing else.

This is the illustrated character that will appear on every spread. You approve it — or ask for another — before a single page is made.

The whole book, every spread, before the printer sees it. When you are happy, it prints, and the read-along and audiobook arrive with it.
Questions parents ask
The things worth knowing before you order.
- Will it really look like my child?
- That is the question this whole product turns on, so you decide, not us. Before any pages are made you see their StoryLikeness™ — the illustrated character we will use throughout the book — and you either approve it or ask for another. If we cannot get to a version you are happy with, you get your money back.
- Can I see the book before it prints?
- Yes, all of it. Once the illustrations are done you get the complete book to look through. Nothing goes to the printer until you press approve.
- What if I don't like one of the pictures?
- Ask for it again. If an illustration is objectively wrong, fixing it is part of the product and never a paid extra. For a change of mind about a picture that is simply not to taste, you get about three complimentary retries per book.
- What happens to my child's photo?
- It is used to create the illustrations and nothing else. It is not sold, not used to advertise, and not shared beyond the processing needed to make your book. Our privacy policy sets out storage, retention and deletion in full.
- What do I actually get?
- A personalized 8×8 storybook — softcover at $34.99 or the hardcover keepsake edition at $44.99 — plus an interactive illustrated read-along and a personalized audiobook, included with every edition. Free shipping on every order.
- How long does it take?
- Their character is usually ready within a few minutes of ordering — occasionally longer when we are busy. Once you approve the finished book it goes to print: 4–5 business days to print and bind, then 2–5 days to arrive.
